You are bidding on a 1856 California Gold 13 Star Indian Head Round 1/2 Token with Center Star on back. The front of the token has a Indian Head head facing to the left with 13 five-pointed stars around him and the date "
1856
" at the bottom.
(Die cracks; from edge to star 3, from edge to star 5, from edge to star 7, from edge between star 9 and 10. (Stars 4, 6, and 12 are double punched and the 8 in the date is double punched high to left).
On the back of the token, written in around the center is "
CALIFORNIA GOLD
",  in the center is a Five-pointed star, and around it all is a wreath of flowers on both sides. This collectible souvenir token was produced for sale in the 1950's and 1960's.
Obverse Indian head die is an old die bought, sold, used many times between the 1920-1960's.
This Indian head die can also be found with several bear reverse dies.
This reverse Star wreath die can also be found with different obverse dies (1859 Indian).
