    For your consideration is an absolutely stunning 1914 Georgia license plate in all original uncleaned condition. This license plate displays extremely nicely with minor paint loss and slightly enlarged upper slots from use. I would grade this license plate at G/VG.
    The 1914 Georgia was the second required state issued plate from the state but it is the fourth license plate given out by the state. The 1910 to 1913 first issue period in Georgia is quite fascinating and included three distinct license plates - black on aluminum slotted type plate, black on yellow, and black on white. A motorist who began with a slotted 1910, was not required to “replate” until 1914 - thus Georgia had three types of first issues between 1910 and 1913, leaving 1914 as the second issue! The porcelain 1915 example followed as the Georgia third issue.
