    Description

    Beautiful antique Wasmuel majolica plate, Art Nouveau, late 1800s. This plates depicts a very showy bird of paradise perched amongst cherry branches laden with fruit. He looks joyful. The border is very pretty---it slightly undulates and is decorated with raised curls and groups of dots. No maker's mark. I see no real shortage of this plate on eBay, but I will point out that this one is 10 inches across, larger than usual. Also, it is in excellent condition. I can find no flaws that were not created during production. As for those, there are a few tiny grit-like inclusions and some misapplied paint. Nothing of significance. You can zoom in on photos. I took photos in different light trying to capture the brightness of the plate but it is a cloudy day. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
