    Description

This token might have been made at the Roger Williams Mint in Attleboro, MA. On some of the tokens, the mint is identified by a small "RWE" on the reverse side. Established over 75 years ago, Roger Williams Mint has grown to become the world's largest privately held mint, offering car wash tokens; amusement tokens; and mint quality and proof-like commemorative coins and medallions. That mint is apparently now part of Tokens Direct.
The token is 20mm in diameter. It is silver in color with some gold tones. It might be made of coppernickel metal. The token was apparently used in entertainment machines associated with golf courses. The number of tokens made, and when they were made isn't known.
The obverse of the token features a stylized golf ball as a smiling clown-type character with a baseballtype cap on which its name, "Dimples," is written. The top perimeter has the lettering "Golf 'n Games" on it.
The reverse of the token is all text. In the center is "No Cash Value". At the top perimeter it has "Golf 'n Games" on it. There is no mint mark on this token.
This token is in very good condition. It has some small tarnish spots on the obverse, and more tarnish in the central area of the reverse. It does appear to have some rubbing from use. Please see the photos.
